Club Mission Statement

MSVBC is committed to:

Providing a competitive volleyball experience, improving the existing abilities of each playe rand developing new skills, encouraging good discipline patterns and work ethics, encouraging traits of good teamwork and sportsmanship, and developing mental, social and emotional growth.

Practice Facilities/Practices Per Week

Quincy High School/ 3X per week

Quincy Junior High/ 3X per week

Do you hold Open Tryouts? YES
Will you have a youth developmental team? YES
Club Dues Cost (Range/Estimate)

$100 (Developmental) to $600 (Tournament teams)

What does the club fee cover? The fees cover uniforms, tournament registratoin fees, coaches fees (hotel, travel, registratoin fees and pay), team registratoin fees, chaperone registratoin fees, medical kits and other supplies.  Players are responsible for their own travel costs.
Travel - Do parents travel with the team?  Chaperones? Parents are allowed to travel with teh players.  Players may travel with coaches, chaperones and other parents with the permission of the player's parents.
How many tournaments will you compete in?

Developmental - 3 to 4 "Friendlies" with all except one requiring travel.  U12- 3 to 4, with all except one requiring travel.  U14 and U16 - 5 to 6 with all except one requiring travel.

Beyond paying club dues, what else is expected of player parents?

To support their player and the team by:

Getting Player to and from practice timely, communicating with coach/chaperone on conflicts between practices/tournaments and outside activities, contributing food for the team cooler at each tournament, communicating need to coach/chaperone for rides to tournaments, supporting the decisions of the coaches, good spectator sportsmanship, realizing that this is a big time and money commitment that all players have made and should be taken seriously.  This is a competitive team that works hard and has a lot of fun!
