| What does the club fee cover? |
Uniform (*Warm Up Jacket & pants, 2 jerseys, 1 pair of spankies, 2 practice T-shirts), Tournament fees, Coaching fees, Administration Fees, USAV Team Registration Fees, Coaches Travel Fees, Chaperone Fees, Background Checks for Chaperones and Coaches, Equipment, Gym Practice Time and Misc Fees *U12 players receive Hoodie instead of Warm up jacket and pants. No spankies or practice t-shirts. *Coach travel expenses include hotel and ground transportation *Player travel expenses are NOT included - (ie, hotel or ground transportation) |
| Travel - Do parents travel with the team? Chaperones? | We encourage parents to travel with their players. However, if parents are unable to travel we ask that they assign their player to a responsible parent and and that coaches receive a note stating who is in charge of that player and that the parent in charge has a note with any sort of information that would be needed in a medical emergency (phone number, medical information, allergies, etc). We ask that parents inform the club directors as well so that all players are supervised during any out of town tournament. |
| How many tournaments will you compete in? |
Teams participate in 5-8 tournaments depending. Local teams travel no further than 1.5 hours as long as there are enough tournaments offered in their age group. If travel is required for a local team a meeting is held with parents to discuss all options. Regional teams will travel to Tri-Cities, Yakima, Seattle, depending on tournaments offered in their age groups, but they can travel up to 5 hours away. National teams will travel as far as Florida, Denver, Dallas, Reno - depending on National Qualifiers being offered that year in their age group. The number of travel tournaments depends on the number of tournaments offered during the season, but typically we lik eto travel to no more than 3 in a season if possible. |
| Beyond paying club dues, what else is expected of player parents? |
We expect parents to conduct themselves as they want their players to conduct themselves. Players Play, Coaches Coach, Officials Officiate, and Parents Support. We have a positive club and expet the best sportsmanship from all Eclipse VBC participants and that includes parents. We offer Club/Individual photos done professionally if they so choose to purchase them. We expect parents to organize themselves to facilitate the team coolers so that players are well fed during tournaments. We also ask for parents to volunteer to be a chaperone (2 per team). |
